If you decide to take part in therapy you will be supported to understand the difficulties that hold you back from living the life you want. Perhaps you are looking for a way to make emotions and worries feel less overwhelming; maybe you want to move on from the distressing event you have experienced; or you want to live a life without constant self-doubt. Whatever the reason behind your decision to seek psychological therapy, Anna will support you to face these challenges and help you make a lasting change.
Anna offers a person-centred approach. This means that clients are offered treatment which is sensitive to their individual needs and experiences, whilst following best practice guidelines and research evidence. Your goals for therapy will be discussed in the first session and these will be reviewed throughout to make sure you are satisfied with the service offered to you. Your strength, resilience and ability to cope will be at the centre of any discussion about the difficulties you wish to address.
Anna draws on a variety of approaches which include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Mindfulness.
The therapy room is located at the heart of Royston parallel to the High Street. The building is a home to various businesses and the therapy room is situated on the first floor (accessible via stairs only). Parking is available at near by car parks in town.
